Political posting

When I started this blog,I swore to myself I wouldn't post political stuff.
In my opinion, right now, politics is nothing but a game being played by people who have
no idea of the rules,or consequences they make us live with.
I will start by saying where I am coming from, and in subsequent posts, expand on what
I see as the problems being caused by treating politics as entertainment, instead of really running things, and taking care of business.
First off,I think Ronald Reagan was the best President in my lifetime, and definately in the
top 5 in our history.I also think most Republicans in Congress are poseurs, and RINO's.
I am pro-military,very pro-gun and self defense,anti abortion in most(like 98%)cases,
anti-neocon,pro-freedom,and against government intrusion into our lives.
I think most Liberals are hopelessly naive,no matter how educated they may be.I
would abolish most welfare programs as they exist, insist on personal responsibility,
with equal amounts of charity and compassion from us as a population, more importantly,
Citizens.
I despise the lying taking place on both sides, and the absolutely insane, whiny, bitchy,
mealymouth bullshit the two major parties are throwing.
I am pro-War on Terrorism, but very adamantly against both the way it's being run,and
the things being done in it's name.
I mourn the loss of true leadership in our country, and am scared shitless at what is taking
it's place.I also dread the fact that noone seems to care,or notice that America is in real
danger of disappearing,no matter which of the 2 parties has power.
With that,I'm going to organize my notes, and post more later.
Thanks for reading.

So, you swore you wouldn't publish anything political. What made you change your mind? Not that there aren't plenty of good reasons to get political, and you touched on some of them, but I'm curious about the specifics.

Well,because I'm angry and scared.
I have seen some pretty contentious political times, but never anything as divisive as now.I also think that there is no spot on the net that spreaks from a moderate conservative position.
I may be tilting at windmills, but I'd like to be able to point out that the divisions aren't as deep as we think, but the problems are worse than we know.
Like I said,I loved Reagan,but,I didn't hate Clinton.I was embarassed by him,and disagreed,but hate,nahhh.
I am going to try to be more light and helpful than most political stuff, but the problems keep mounting.

Welcom to the 00s. It's not a choice between liberal and conservative. It's a choice between theocratic fascists (your choice of crosses or crescents) and freedom. When Bob Barr works for the ACLU you know things have gone seriously wahoonie-shaped.

I have evolved into something that is not angry about it all anymore. I get mad in spits and spurts but really burning anger is beyond me now because I don't think there is any going back. When I thought we could go back to a "better day" in the U.S., I was very angry about it all, when I realized that things have forever changed, and not for the better, it was easy to let a lot of that go. It's easier to concentrate on surviving when you're no longer worried about getting stomped.

It never ceases to amaze me, however, that people decry fascism or vague theocracies that don't exist (remember Clinton's BIG Holy Bible for the cameras? When you think of that, think of Bosnia...) but seem perfectly willing to accept the oppression of socialism.

They're all political cancers that should be cut out of any free society, but they become the "freedoms" that so many people desperately grasp for because they didn't know what they had in the first place or their politically insane.

That would be "they're" instead of "their," typos, typos, don't sleep and type - I say. 8-)

But you type some of your best stuff when you sleep,Brother!
Sadly,I fear you're right,I don't think there is any going back,but I still hope.
